Campers learn and perform as part of a small ensemble featuring violin, viola, cello, and bass. Camp sessions will focus on sight reading, technique, and preparation of chamber music. 1 year of experience on instrument is required.

Hannah Villa

Hannah Villa

Hannah Villa is a violinist and Orchestra Director in Fairfax, VA. She has her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from James Madison University, and she has been private teaching violin, viola, and cello for the past 6 years. Hannah has also taught in Fairfax County Public Schools as an elementary strings teacher, understanding the fundamentals of all beginner strings. She is now the Orchestra Director at Woodbridge Middle School, where she works with beginner through advanced string students. Outside of teaching, she performs with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra as a member of the violin section. Hannah’s teaching philosophy is that every student can learn to play music and enjoy the benefits of learning an instrument.
