Studio Policy

WAIVER

I, as the parent or legal guardian of the minor child(ren) identified in the enrollment form, understand that participation in classes and activities offered by WKMN Music, LLC d/b/a Tuneful Journey, including its Little Steps program, involves physical movement, group interaction, and the use of musical instruments and materials. I understand that participation may carry inherent risks, including but not limited to accidental injury or exposure to illness, including airborne illnesses.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation for myself and my child(ren).

I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless WKMN Music, LLC, d/b/a Tuneful Journey, including its owners, employees, contractors, and staff, from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in classes or related activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

By enrolling, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to these terms.



ENROLLMENT

Little Steps is designed as a cohesive school-year program. Enrollment reserves your child’s space for the 2026–2027 school year and is not month-to-month.

Tuition is $225 per month, regardless of the number of class days in a given month. This consistent monthly tuition allows us to plan intentionally and provide a rich, cohesive learning experience throughout the year.

We will take scheduled breaks for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break. Specific dates will be communicated by the teacher in advance.

If space allows, new students may enroll in January for the second semester. Tuition will begin at the time of enrollment.



ADJUSTMENT PERIOD

The first two weeks of class serve as an adjustment and observation period. During this time, we intentionally support your child’s transition and assess whether Little Steps is an appropriate fit for their developmental needs and our classroom environment.

If we determine that Little Steps is not the right setting for your child, we will communicate with you promptly and provide guidance on next steps. In this case, tuition will be prorated and refunded for any unused portion of the month.

After this two-week period, enrollment is considered active and subject to the cancellation policy below.



CANCELLATION POLICY

If withdrawal becomes necessary, we require written notice at least 30 days in advance. Because tuition is processed on the 1st of each month, notice must be received by the 1st of the month prior to your intended final month.

Tuition is non-refundable once charged. If notice is given after the 1st, the upcoming month’s tuition will still be due.



MAKE-UP CLASSES

No refunds will be given for missed classes; however, you are welcome to attend a Level 3 Kindermusik class in our Ames location as a makeup class! Please schedule these through your teacher or email wendy@tunefuljourney.com.
