Your preschooler or Kindergartener is an innately musical being, singing & dancing through their day. Kindermusik Level 4 harnesses their natural musicality and creativity to create a rock-solid musical foundation that’s age-appropriate, and magical! We lovingly call it Instrument Explorers. Welcome!
Not quite ready for music lessons? Level 4 classes help build a foundation for formal music instruction. Children explore basic music symbols and more complex instruments, and master concepts that boost learning in other subjects.

Kindermusik Level 4
Level 4 classes focus on basic musical symbols, complex instruments, and more in-depth movement games. Children begin to master new music terms and concepts, and ready themselves for math, reading, and writing.

Rachel
Rachel is the founder and director of The Harmony Garden. She teaches Kindermusik classes, beginning piano, and cello. Some of Miss Rachel’s earliest memories are musical. Standing on tippy-toes to reach the keys of her grandfather’s piano, attempting to make a sound on her mom’s clarinet, singing along to Disney movies, going everywhere with an ancient cassette walkman, figuring out how to read notes before words, harmonizing before learning to ride a bike, and - at the age of four - asking her children’s choir director how to conduct. But nothing quite hit the spark until she saw that dusty old child’s cello in the corner of her grandfather’s house and decided on the spot: “I’m going to play that!” Her heart set on becoming a string teacher and inspiring others as her teachers had inspired her, she earned a Bachelors in Music Education from Moravian College - where she fell equally in love with the viola da gamba, a Renaissance-era string instrument - and a Masters from Kent State University. Later on, she discovered the immense joy that is early childhood education, and since earning her Kindermusik Educator license in 2012 has brought the benefits and joy of an early musical experience to hundreds of babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their parents. After a brief time teaching in the public schools, Rachel set out to fulfill a secret wish held since high school: to bring enriching musical experiences to the families in her hometown of Hopewell Jct. What began as piano lessons in her living room grew into The Harmony Garden of today. As a teacher, Rachel strives for her students to not just grow as musicians, but to discover and grow into the unique, beautiful individuals they are. As Director of The Harmony Garden, she is honored to have the opportunity to bring the arts into the lower Dutchess area and to mentor a phenomenal team of fellow teachers and musicians. Studio Policy
Before registering, please read the following important information about your enrollment. As always, reach out with any questions!
Release of Liability:
I release any and all rights and claims for damages against The Harmony Garden Music Center, Inc. and its staff in the unlikely event or injury or illness sustained by myself or my child(ren) during the course of or as a result of my attendance.
Enrollment:
Once enrolled in an ongoing class or private lesson, we’ll keep you enrolled for the duration of the class or until you tell use you need to pause or withdraw. Should you choose to pause or withdraw, we kindly ask you notify us in writing at two weeks prior to the next billing date (1st of each month).
Payment Schedules:
Membership fees are securely charged to your account on the 1st of the month. If you join us mid-month, that month’s membership will be prorated according to your start date and charged at the time of enrollment.
Happiness Guarantee:
A stellar experience for you and your young musician is absolutely guaranteed. If after 6 classes or lessons you are not 100% happy, we will refund you any remaining paid tuition on your account. Any materials you've received from your class will be yours to keep and enjoy.
Missed Classes and Lessons:
Should you need to miss an ongoing group class, please notify the office as soon as possible. You may make up the absence by attending another equivalent class at any time while your enrollment is active. Make ups are subject to class availability.
Should you need to miss a private lesson, please notify the office as soon as possible. If your child is unwell or unable to come to the studio, an online lesson will provided at your usual lesson time. Students may also attend "Club Virtuoso" classes to redeem two make up credits. Absences may be made up at any time while your enrollment is active. Due to the nature of our private lesson schedule, private make up lessons are not guaranteed. No-shows are not eligible for make ups.
Membership fees cannot be credited, refunded, or transferred.
Media Release:
The Harmony Garden reserves the right to use any photographs/video taken at our teaching locations or at any event sponsored by The Harmony Garden. Any parent or student who does not wish to have their image recorded or photographed must make their wishes known in writing.
To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will never be identified using names or any personal identifying information without written consent from the photographed subject, the subject’s parent or legal guardian.
