Patty Kennedy earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the Conservatory of Music at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, and moved to Chicago soon after completing her degree in 2010 to pursue a career in music. Patty is an active performer and sings with several professional choirs throughout the city. She is most well known for her role as soprano and Executive Director of Chicago’s premier women’s ensemble, La Caccina. After having also been a nanny for several years, Patty wanted to find a way to combine her passion for working with children and music, and that’s when she was lucky enough to find Kindermusik! Patty has been teaching Kindermusik at Bucktown Music since 2012, and hopes to bring children and families the same joy that she finds in music and movement. She works to empower parents by giving them tools to help make daily life easier and more fun, and also to instill a lifelong love of music.
