Home Materials

This month your child will experience the concept of fractions through hearing and playing quarter and eighth notes. In class we’ll do “call and response” activities to the rhythmic sounds of African music. Meanwhile, your child will sharpen listening and attention skills, as well as fine tune you’re her ear to finding patterns. Play together the activities in your Home Kit, and you’ll help your preschooler develop a strong foundation in math, rhythm and coordination, and critical listening.

The Drums, Drums, Drums Home Kit includes Digital Music Album, Magazine-style Family Guide (includes class story Drum Circle), and a hand drum.

Kindermusik Level 4

Level 4 classes focus on basic musical symbols, complex instruments, and more in-depth movement games. Children begin to master new music terms and concepts, and ready themselves for math, reading, and writing.

Miss Brittni

Brittni Roach is the owner of Musical Moments Studio located in North Canton, and has been running her own independent music studio teaching piano and violin for 13 years. Roach received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Violin Performance from the University of Mount Union in 2012, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Ethnomusicology from Kent State University in 2014. Currently, she serves as professor of music at the University of Mount Union, Kent State University, and Kent State University at Stark. Roach has also presented the paper “V-Pop Reflections: Cultural Continuance of Vietnamese Popular Music in Northeast Ohio” at the 2013 Niagara Chapter meeting of the Society for Ethnomusicology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Since 2008, Roach has been a member of the Alliance Symphony and the University of Mount Union Repertory Strings, as well as the Tuscarawas Philharmonic, the Wooster Symphony, and numerous small community ensembles and musical ‘pit’ orchestras. Along with her participation in these performing groups, Roach is a member of the Society for Ethnomusicology and the Music Teachers National Association. She has also participated in the Ohio Music Education Association and Mu Phi Epsilon. She became a certified Kindermusik educator in 2019 and is excited to join the Kindermusik at Western Reserve family!

Studio Policy

All classes are nonrefundable with the exception of a class being cancelled.

PAYMENT: There is a non-refundable $50 deposit for all classes (with the exception of a class

being cancelled). You may pay in full or monthly.

-Home materials should be in for your second week of class. We wait to order them until the first week to allow for any late enrollments and to keep shipping costs down.

-You will receive an automated email to download your digital album the week classes begin. In order to access it, you must create a free account on my.kindermusik. If you download the free Kindermusik app, it will automatically be there.

-You may change classes any time during the session if there is an open spot in the class you are interested in at that time. Permission is needed. Call or email if a change is needed.

-Only one grown up is permitted to attend class with their child.

MAKEUP POLICY: If possible, please let us know if you are going to miss class. We want to help maintain consistency for your child, while preventing overcrowding in your child’s class and providing convenience for your schedule. Makeups do not carry over to other sessions, but you can do as many as it is possible for us to accommodate within a session. You must pre-register to ensure there is an open spot in that class on that date. Schedule your makeup by emailing Julie at There are NO drop ins. Make ups will not be scheduled THE LAST WEEK OF CLASSES due to special awards given and special activities. 

SIBLING POLICY: Siblings are not permitted in class unless it is prearranged for a one time visit. In that case, the family must email to schedule the extra child and pay $15 at that time. There is no cost for siblings under 9 months of age. Unattended children outside of the classroom is NOT permitted.

REFERRALS: Refer a friend who signs up for the semester and receive a $15 credit towards future semesters.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: Weekday classes will be cancelled at the discretion of the owner. We will first email you, and if we do not hear back we will text and then call. Although we try our best, we cannot guarantee that all classes missed due to inclement weather will be made up. We will make them up to the extent that our calendar allows. No refunds or credits will be given for snow days not made up. 

ATTIRE: We spend a lot of time on the floor. We ask that you wear clean shoes or socks into the classrooms to keep the floor as clean as possible. When it is snowing or raining, please remove your shoes. We suggest comfortable clothes to sit and move in for children and caregivers.

TOYS/DRINKS/SNACKS/BELONGINGS are not permitted in the classroom. Feel free to step out of the class to have a drink or snack if it is necessary. Breastfeeding is permitted anytime and anywhere in our classes.

CELL PHONES: Please silence your cell phones, better yet, leave them out of the classroom. We want you to enjoy the class time with your child to the fullest. If you want to take pictures, please ask other parents if it is alright with them as some do not want their child’s pictures posted to social media.
