The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.
Music has always been a big part of her life. She started piano lessons at a young age, and later learned cello and trumpet. Trumpet was her favorite instrument, and she continued to play through high school. Emily has also always had a passion for children and knew from a very young age that she would go into the Early Childhood field. She spent all of her free time babysitting and volunteering in the school district’s Early Childhood classroom. She obtained an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Madison College. Emily has worked in infant, toddler, and preschool classroom settings, and eventually became a nanny. She discovered Kindermusik when she was a nanny and was really impressed by all the developmental benefits the program offers. She continued with Kindermusik once her own children were born. Emily lives in Edgerton with her husband (Ryan) and their twins (Micah and Ella). She enjoys listening to music, attending concerts, baking, camping, traveling, and making memories with her family!
In every Kindermusik class at Stoughton Center for the Arts, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. You and your child will interact with others and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills.
