This class is great for babies who are not yet walking. Once your child is toddling, level 1 is a great fit.
Did you know sound recognition begins in the womb? Foundations classes are all about exploring and reacting to new sounds, objects, and movements. Plus, parents and caregivers heighten connections with their babies by learning bonding techniques.
Enrollment in this class includes digital music for corresponding level.
Digital albums, narrated e-books, and more are available on our password-protected family platform, accessible via desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.

Kindermusik Foundations
The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.

- Movement Control
Different movement activities help babies strengthen their core muscles, which increases their sense of balance and control over movements. - Social Adaptability
Group activities allow babies to experience familiar and unfamiliar social experiences in a safe and secure way. - Listening and Communication Skills
Listening to music and doing vocal play exercises helps develop a baby’s back-and-forth communication skills. - Language and Literacy Development
Introducing spoken sounds and rhythms through songs and rhymes helps support language and literacy development.
Michelle Thompson
Michelle has been a lifelong resident of Cedar Falls, Iowa, residing here with her husband and two children. She has been musical all her life - singing, dancing, figure skating, and playing the violin. She has a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa with an emphasis in Childhood Speech and Language Disorders. Michelle is the owner of Little Light Studio and teaches all levels of Kindermusik. Her mission is to facilitate the development of the whole child through joyful interactions using music and movement.

At Little Light Studio, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Through Kindermusik, your little ones will learn to love music and movement.
